2024 Reflecting, Recharging, Refocusing!

December 31, 2024.

What a year it has been for our family! So many milestones and memories - Alex graduated, turned 18, achieved Eagle Scout. Meghan received her BSN, RN, had a bridal shower, Bachelorette party, wedding in Italy, reception at home. We toured Rome, Maiori, and Pompeii (our 1st trip to Europe). Dale just completed nursing school, Shaniel really held it together the last year and a half (they even managed to come to Italy, and boy was it great!), and Milaina has blossomed into a beautiful, ornery 2 year old! Destini turned 18, and began her Senior year. She and Alex did their 1st road trip to GA and TX this summer!!!

There have been more candle events than I expected (8), can't believe I squeezed that many into this year! I created a signature scent for The Mai-Kai Polynesian Restaurant, which has been very successful. Then, I had the privilege of creating a signature scent this month for Kathy Westervelt (a massage therapist in Ft. Myers). Candles were also created for Meghan's Bridal shower and Meghan and Wolfgang's wedding.

I've learned so much about myself through all of this year. Sometimes, in order to reset, mini escapes or alone time are a necessity. I give so much of my time and energy to everyone around me and have realized the importance of giving myself time. This was never truer than in July when I "ran away" for 10 days. Natasha wasn't working, we couldn't figure out what was wrong, and I was exhausted - mentally, physically, and emotionally. We had just put our beloved dog, Max, down, just acquired a new dog (sort of by accident - she needed a home and yard, was a rescue, I felt bad for her) and did I mention she's a Belgian Malanois? Puppy? She wore me down. I had nothing left to give anyone. So, I hopped in Natasha, prayed she wouldn't die on me, and left town. This was the best move I made. During that time, I was able to get business done, get clothes for Italy, buy a carry-on...and breathe! By the time I came home, I was ready - for wedding dress alterations, trip planning, and all the family things needed.

Now, as we head into 2025, I am writing you from the road. Taking a much needed adventure to visit family, reconnect, recharge my batteries, and breathe. Natasha is running well, Steve was able to figure out and replace the problem. And I'm taking time to piece together what I want this next year to look like - for Crazy Lady Adventures, and for this Crazy Lady!

May you stay true to your values, may your year be filled with things that make your heart beat faster, and may you embrace experiences that enhance your life!

Bee 🐝 Crazy, Bee 🐝 Happy, and Bee 🐝 Blessed.
