Life events, Candle events, Family events!
Wow, it's been quite a year/month/week. We had Meghan and Wolfgang's Stateside Reception at our home. What a blessing to celebrate again with our loved ones who weren't able to come to Italy, and again with some who went to Italy and we were able to reminisce! Not going to lie, my mother-of-the-bride era is complete, was amazing, full of new experiences and adventures, inspiring, and emotional, but I'm glad it's complete and ended perfectly at home surrounded by so much love and joy! 1st pic is one of my favorites from Italy, last is homemade lemoncello that Alex and I made!
The week after returning from Italy we celebrated Destini's 18th birthday at our home with a waterslide, food, family, friends, and fun! Was having so much fun, didn't get any pictures!
Following that, your Crazy Lady participated in an event at Tidal Brewery in Spring Hill, FL. Kim and Kim were right there with me, we had a blast, sold candles, and Kim and I even made stops to and from, selling in Clewiston, Wauchula, and Tampa (where I met a friend in person for the 1st time)!
I've also been working part-time in the gift shop at the Mai-Kai Polynesian Restaurant and Lounge in Ft. Lauderdale, which should be opening very soon! This immersion into the Polynesian culture has been a wonderful opportunity for me, as a chandler, a passionate traveler, and a woman who has always been drawn to cultural experiences!
Fall is upon us, therefore this Crazy Lady has been pouring fall and winter scents (it's how I pretend it's not 85 degrees outside), and am preparing for the Hollywood Artwalk tomorrow night, which is such a cool, fun event because we put lights around the tent, there's electric so the wax melter is bringing beautiful scents to the street, it's not sweltering hot, the sun is not making us and the candles sweat - basically a win/win!!!
November 2nd we will be back in Spring Hill, FL where we were invited to the Vet Fest event for Veterans! So excited to be a part of an event celebrating our veterans. As the daughter of Marine's and Army Veterans, with cousins, grandpas, and so many loved ones who have and still do serve our nation, I am really looking forward to this opportunity!
Last, but not least, our Crazy dog, Artemis, has been with us for 3 months now, is about 9 months old, and we are FINALLY finding a routine that works for all of us. She's still wild (she's a Belgian Malanois, so it's expected), but I don't cry every day anymore!!! Lol, but seriously, she was a LOT! My sister, Kim, kept encouraging me every day the 1st month NOT to give up. She'd send me texts - 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months. 1st 3 days sucked, but it takes 3 Days for a dog to Decompress, 3 Weeks to start and know our routine, and 3 Months to start and feel at home. Honestly, if it wasn't for her encouragement, I would've given up. Steve believed in Artemis and was willing to wait it out from the beginning, but I was overstimulated getting ready for Italy, and everything else going on, and working from home was very challenging. We got baby gates, and we also let her spend a lot of time outside, she loves the freedom, so it works.
We did it, and we've fallen in love! Oh, and our friends recommended Holly Acres Pet Resort and they love Artemis and she loves them - it was a perfect fit and solution. She goes on vacation when we have events, and we breathe a little deeper knowing we don't have to worry!
WHEW!!! Been one hell of a month! Thanks for joining us on this journey of life, candles, and love!
