My Inspiration

Since I was 23, my inspiration has been my kids, my family. Travel, cooking, athletics, work - literally every aspect of my life has been inspired, driven, or built around my kids. For the 1st time, I am doing something that is by me, and that I am inspired to do based on this crazy life I've been living. I am still inspired by Meghan, Wolfgang, Alex, even Steve (insert Jamaican ME Crazy scent), but also by Dale, and Shaniel (my best tester!), by Kim and creating with Kim. Carlene smelling and suggesting, my bff Terista ordering EVERY single fragrance I had the day we went live. Every family member and friends who is taking a chance and buying a candle or wax melt - it matters and inspires me to be my best. If you look at my labels, most of them are pictures I've taken - even one of my hens. My point is, I am using the inspiration that surrounds my day to day life and applying it to my passion for candles and scents in a way I never dreamed.

When I started this adventure, it was a fun thing, a few scents every few months or so, now my senses are on fire, and I dream about fragrances, I think about them, I can't wait to make more. We've created some really cool ones, and more in the making. It's difficult working a full time job, being a full time mom, taking care of a home and family, and feeling so much fire and passion for this adventure of mine.

This morning, Roxanne and I were working on the website at 6am (she'd been working on it at midnight when I was asleep). We were texting, and both making changes back and forth until I had to go to work. I am not an island unto myself. I have a team of support, of loved ones, and I couldn't do any of this without them.

There are some scents that don't interest me, and all of the candles I've made have some significance in my life - there really is a story behind every scent. I can't wait to share with you, so whenever you get a chance, stop by one of our Open Houses and smell what we've been up to, or shoot me a text and you can come by when I'm home (I love private conversations about candles - just ask Michie) 🤪!
